Season 6

12/03/11: I'm only human, so when it came down to putting the pieces together for the final episode, I realized I'd underestimated the amount of time it would take to wrap things up. Thus a bonus episode.  The finale has been split into 2 episodes.  The first airing on Saturday, December 3, and the second a week later, on Saturday, December 10.  Expect everything to be wrapped up by the end, but in true Blackthornes fashion, a few lingering questions will be left for the readers interpretation! <insert evil laugh>

11/29/11: As previously reported, the final episode of The Blackthornes will be posted on Saturday, December 10, 2011, at 8:00pm Central Time (6:00pm Pacific and 9:00pm Eastern).    The episode will be our third "extended episode" (not quite a 2-parter but longer than a typical episode).  Expect exciting conclusions to six years of secrets, mayhem, backstabbing, blackmailing, and murder. Mirroring events from the beginnings of the series, the finale will hopefully prove satisfying to long-time and new readers alike.    

09/07/11: More alums are set to return before the finale.  Look for appearances by Winter Austen, Ethan's girlfriend from season 1; Brooke's mother Roz Taylor who last appeared in season 4; and Philip Whitacre, Brooke's first husband who last appeared in season 2.  These returns, along with the previously mentioned returns of Renee, Suzanne, and David (he was seen briefly in episode 149) will fall in and around the final episode, set to air on December 10, exactly six years after the first episode aired.

07/27/11: As previously hinted at, I've upped the episode order for this season from 26 to 28. Now that I have a better idea of what the second half of the season will bring, it's necessary to add more episodes.  The series finale, due sometime in December, will most likely be a two-parter, but will count as one episode.

07/16/11: The crossover with Nightingales goes into full effect this week.  Expect guest appearances by Brad, Akilah, and Chelsea over the next few episodes.  Meanwhile, check out your favorite Blackthornes chara

05/13/11:  Is another Rydell headed out the door?  Suzanne's future with the remaining episodes of the season is still up in the air. More info to follow.  

05/13/11:  Some things to look forward to before the end of the series:  a wedding, a birth, a reunion, and lots of old school romance.  Things take more of an upbeat turn in upcoming episodes.   

04/15/11:  In Episode 139: A surprise visit upsets Renee, Miranda wonders about her father's reaction to recent events.

04/05/11:  Crossover alert:  Farrah and Hugh from Guasti Cose pop over to The Blackthornes for a few special guest spots (more info to come).

03/25/11:  In Episode 138:  Word spreads about the incident on the lookout, Brooke and Ethan spend time together. 

03/15/11:  Kelly will be around for a while longer this season.  She'll come between Stormy and Jane, but not in a romantic way. Ashton Childers  will become involved in a storyline over the next few episodes.  Heather may make another appearance in the coming weeks (her second since being written out).

02/23/11: When the new season begins, don't expect a slew of new characters to pop up as in years past.  With the exception of one or two minor roles, we're trying to limit the activity to the current cast to more effectively wrap things up by years' end.  Also, remember that in the final season, nobody is safe.  Will your favorites stick around to the end?

01/02/11: When The Blackthornes returns this spring, expect a few characters to have bid adios, including David, Duke, and Summer.  In their place, look for old favorites to return. Ethan will play a major role in the final season, and Kelly will be up to her old tricks again for a good portion of 2011.

09/10/10:  The season finale will set up events that wraps the series in its final season next year.
