Suzanne Rogers
(1962
- ? )
Birthplace:
Los Angeles, CA
|
Bio:
Studied
acting at the "Theatre Group Studio" and credited
her underrated talents to the Stanislavski Method. Rogers
began acting at the age of 7 with a smattering of commercials
and voiceovers. As a teenager she joined the cast
of daytime soap opera "The Young at Heart".
In her early twenties, the actress starred in
a few mediocre films produced and directed by Jonas Lamont of Lamont 3. One film in particular
co-starred Nathan Blackthorne, and would prove to be
the first and last time the two would work together
in a film. Newspapers speculated on "unfathomable
hostility" between Rogers and Blackthorne, but
neither would confirm or deny the rumors. It was
through Lamont that Rogers met producer Jordan
Rydell, currently CEO of Rydell Productions.
The two were married soon after and Rogers gave birth
to a daughter, Heather Rydell, who later married
Stormy Blackthorne, the then record producer son of
James Blackthorne. Rogers last starring
role came in the critically scorned but cult favorite
comedy-drama "Kidding" in 1988, which co-starred
Alex Reynolds and Victor Disefano. In 1990, Rogers
and Rydell welcomed their second child, Benji Rydell.
In a strange turn of events, Rogers was
slated to begin work on another film in 1996 but never
reported to the set and was never heard from again.
Reports claimed that Rogers left the country following
an emotional breakdown, leaving her husband and two
children behind. An always private Rydell filed
for divorce years later, stating grounds of abandonment.
He later married Alex Reynolds and the two were
divorced less than a year later.
